Primetime Scorecard (P18-49, P25-54, and P18-34 Quarterly Ratings Track)
Are Broadcasters' big fall hits such as Desperate Housewives and Grey’s Anatomy driving TV ratings? Among advertisers most coveted target, A18-49, Ad-Supported Cable held its lead in Fourth Quarter 2005 with a 16.0 rating v. a 14.1 for Broadcasts' Big Four. Year after year, quarter after quarter, Ad-Supported Cable ratings continue to grow while Broadcasts' ratings shrink, among key advertiser targets. Consequently Ad-Supported Cable's reach continues to grow while Broadcasts' reach contracts.
Cable’s continuous investment in its programming has benefited consumers by delivering original, compelling and high-quality content that attracts viewers and programming awards. As Cable networks continue to invest heavily in their programming with a projected $17.6 billion for 2007, Cable will continue to win the hearts of viewers and critical acclaim.
